Getting Started

Familiarize yourself with the WordPress interface.

Logging in

To get started, go to your website's login page: https://marrlowe.com/wp-login.php

Enter your username or email address and password, and click Log in.

WordPress Login Area

You will now be redirected to the dashboard.

WordPress Dashboard

The WordPress backend

The dashboard, and all menu items you will find on the left-hand side, are all part of the WordPress backend. This includes:

  • Woocommerce Order Management

  • Woocommerce Product Management

Woocommerce Order Dashboard

You can also manage your pages and media (images, videos, files) form the backend, but since we use Elementor, we will use the frond-end for these tasks instead.

The WordPress frontend

To preview your website after making changes on the backend, simply hover over the site title (Marr Lowe) on the upper left corner and click Visit Site.

Switching from backend to frontend

This will take you to the admin view of your website, which is also called the WordPress frontend. You would notice that is similar to a user's view of the website, except you have an admin bar on top.

The WordPress admin bar

You can navigate the pages like a any user would using the header or footer menu to go to a specific page you would like to check. If you want to edit the content on a specific page, simply click Edit with Elementor on the Admin Bar (more on this in later).‌

Edit with Elementor

To go back to the backend from the frontend, hover over the site title on the admin bar and click Dashboard.
